Menorca is preparing a cap on cars
Number-plate cameras have been running at the port of Ciutadella since June, and the ones for Mahón are close to being installed. That data will set the ceiling on cars allowed onto the island, most likely from the summer of 2027.

Where things stand today
The carrying-capacity study puts the ceiling at 120,000 vehicles on the island and estimates around 34,000 arrivals in high season, split 60% for private owners and 40% for car hire. Residents' cars fall outside the quota: the limit targets vehicles from off the island. The final quota is due to be approved in plenary after the summer.
Ibiza is already two seasons into its system and gives a preview: from 1 June to 30 September a permit and a fee are required, the daily quota has dropped to 17,668, and second-home owners get one exemption per property, which has to be applied for.
What it means if you own a home here
- You don't need to book a vehicle slot on the ferry or line the crossing up with your travel dates
- You skip the crossing, the booking and the date juggling with the ferry, which is exactly where the quota bites
- And if the future system involves permits or proof of status for these vehicles, we'll look at handling the paperwork on the owner's behalf, as we already do with the MOT
- And if the entry quota fills up one summer, your car is already on the island
This is not legal advice. Menorca's rules have not been approved yet, and in Ibiza the law governs circulation rather than entry alone, so a car already on the island may still need to prove its exemption. We'll update this page as the final conditions are published. Last reviewed: August 2026.

The price follows the space your car takes up
Floor space is the main cost of the service, so the rate is set by the vehicle's length as stated on its registration document. Three groups, no grey areas.

The category is set by the length shown on the vehicle's registration document or the manufacturer's official specifications. Deliveries and pick-ups take place at Menorca Airport or in the Mahón area; for other locations, ask us about availability and pricing. There is no night-time surcharge.

Prices exclude VAT. Official fees, parts, tyres, batteries and work carried out by garages or external companies are invoiced separately unless stated otherwise. While you still have services left in your annual allowance, the cleaning included in your plan is free of charge; once it runs out, cleaning is added at these prices. We never authorise significant repairs without your knowledge.
Control and condition
It isn't a car park. It's a record.
We don't replace a garage or carry out servicing you don't need. What we do is keep sensible track of the car and catch anything visible before each delivery.

Check-in photographs
When the car goes into storage we document its condition: exterior, interior, wheels, instrument panel, mileage and any existing damage. That way there's a record of how we received it and how we give it back.

What people usually ask us
What counts as one service?
Delivering the car and picking it up afterwards count together as a single service.
How many services does each plan include?
Standard includes 7 services per year and Premium includes 12.
Where is the car delivered and collected?
At Menorca Airport or in the Mahón area. For other locations we'll check availability and send you a price.
What happens if I use up all my services?
You can keep requesting deliveries and pick-ups. On the Standard plan, services 8 to 12 cost €20 + VAT each. From service 13 onwards it's €18 + VAT, which also applies to Premium once its 12 services are used up.
Do additional services include a wash?
No. Once your annual allowance runs out, washing and cleaning are charged separately: €10 for an exterior wash, €20 for interior cleaning and €25 for a full clean, plus VAT.
Can you take the car for its MOT?
Yes. We book the appointment, take the car in, present it for inspection and bring it back to the warehouse. Handling it costs €30 + VAT per hour, plus the official fee. If it fails we'll tell you what came up; a second visit costs €35 + VAT plus any applicable fees.
And to a garage?
Yes. It can be our trusted garage or one you choose. The transfer costs €35 + VAT, and parts, labour and the garage's invoice are paid separately.
Do you authorise repairs on your own?
No. No significant work is carried out without your knowledge or authorisation.
What exactly makes Premium different?
It includes 12 services instead of 7, exterior and interior cleaning on request, one MOT appointment handled per year and one garage visit handled per year.
Can I keep more than one vehicle in storage?
Yes. Each vehicle gets its own record, category and storage terms.
Is this the same as long-term parking?
Long-term parking gives you somewhere to leave the car. We do that and everything else: we bring it to the airport the day you land, track the MOT and insurance, check the battery and tyres before each handover and can take care of the garage or the cleaning. That's why we call it storage and not parking.
Where is the warehouse, and what about the battery if the car sits for months?
Our facilities are in Mahón. Before every handover we check the battery, look over the tyres and see whether any warning light comes on at start-up, precisely so you don't find a car that won't start on the first day of your holiday. If the battery needs replacing, we handle it.
